Today, I am in Southampton, New York with Pia and Alex, the heroine and hero in my new story. For this story, I've come home to my beginnings, as I'm from the southeastern coast of Long Island. No matter where I am in the world, when I close my eyes, I see the beauty of the setting sun, hear the roar of the crashing waves, smell the scent of the salty ocean, and feel the warmth of the sand beneath my feet. It is with me always, beckoning. Pia and Alex will discover one another standing upon that sand before that ocean beneath that setting sun surrounded by that salty scent, but then they'll be off to the Greek Islands on an adventure that will bring them full circle in heart and soul.Where are you today?

Today I'm at home. Yesterday when you wrote this blog I was in Seabeck, WA, on the shores of the Hood Canal...quilting. Yes, I said quilting. I took a nature walk when I wasn't sewing and ignored all things technological. I'd been gone 4 days...came home to 300 Yahoo Loop messages. Feels like I was never away.
One day last month, I went out to lunch with colleagues and returned to the law firm an hour later to find 52 voice mail messages!
Jeez!
